The Challenge

O’Brien & Partners is an established Accountancy practice servicing some well known businesses in and around South Wales. As an established client of b2b IT Services, in February 2018, they grew their practice by acquiring a Cwmbran accountancy firm with 15 employees, increasing their staffing numbers to nearer 40.


The Solution

We had to ensure the smooth migration of the newly acquired accountancy practice into the O’Brien and Partners infrastructure. This included:

  • Integration of acquired practice employees into O’Brien & Partners domain
  • Setup of Remote Desktop farm to allow remote access to files and accountancy package
  • Standardisation of Anti-virus and Anti-malware software
  • Consolidation of Office 365 tenants – all staff were migrated from their own Office 365 tenant to O’Brien & Partners tenant


The Outcome

The perfect mix of careful planning and clear communication was used to keep downtime to a minimal. A solution was developed and implemented with a positive outcome, a smooth transition for everyone involved in the acquisition; with no disruption to their day to day functioning.
